We cut out the failed concrete, remove soft base material, compact fresh stone and pour a slab designed for vehicle weight. The pitch is set so that water runs to the street, not into the building. Edges are formed to meet the sidewalk and curb without a lip.
Garage thresholds are the delicate part. If the slab slopes too steeply into the building, a long vehicle scrapes. If it slopes too little, rain flows into the garage. We measure both before we pour.
An apron sits across the public sidewalk, so the work touches city property. We plan the pour in coordination with the permit and keep pedestrians moving past it.
